To all, you are porbably aware that recently whilst I was away on holiday my account got hacked by some lowlife scum. I would like to take this opportunity to appologise to everyone in the guild for the percieved actions of this individual, and also for any losses that have occured.

I have had a small number of items returned to me via blizzard, but even they acknowledge they made a mistake, as he filed with my details for a hacked account and blizzard returned items he had stolen to hi so he could simply sell them again.

On my return when I filed for a hacked account I was initially informed by blizzard that this had been resolved, after a long chat with a GM the desicion to lock my account so they could investigate was agreed by both them and myself. After providing them with countless items of information only the originally account holder could know they agreed that yes it was my account and unlocked it for me, on the proviso that I brought an authenticator, which I promptly did. They were able to return a few items to me (mainly the soulbound vendored ones) but alot of the BoE items had been posted on and then auctioned it is those that are forever lost.

So as it stands I am here back again as the real me (this can be verified by Destiny and Hol if needed) Feeling very apologetic and wondering if you will once again draw me into the warmth that is SpS.

I would expect you to take a vote on this as the robbing git hurt the guild and it is right I should shoulder some of that blame, and I understand that if ppl opject to me being back in the guild, then please speak load and clear as you will not offend and I would understand 100%.

Your Friend.

Welcome back Excom, I can fully sympathise with you as the same thing has happened to two of our accounts. I was the Officer who deguilded your characters when we realised what was happening - so the situation was dealt with as quickly as we could.

I'm glad to hear to you have your account back now and are able to join us again, I'm sure there will be no problem you coming back home Smile

Looking forward to seeing you ingame again soon.

Good to have you back Excom and so sorry to hear about all the problems you have had with your account.
It still amazes me that there are people out there that get some kind of weird kick out of ruining a persons account which after all said and done is ONLY a game - how sad and empty their lives must be.Not like us happy dippy souls in SPS
Its good to see you again

Welcome back Excom, I echo Gules thoughts above. I am sure SPS can pull together to help re-equip at least some of the missing items from your account.

Aye, welcome back. There's no blame attached - these things happen.

That said, everyone should take a look at their internet security and consider how it's being implemented/what improvements they can make. I'm not singling anyone out - I mean EVERYONE.

Good to see you back in the green spam last night, Excomm.

Steve.

Welcome back to the fold mate,

Was extremely sorry to hear about your account being hacked. It was first brought to our attention when Gules acted very swiftly and precise when deguilding your chars. Thanks to this the damage was limited.

But blame cannot be left at your door, it's the hackers who are solely responsible. But as Steve mentioned it is wise for us all to take a look at our online security and make sure it's functioning the way it should.

If I can help get any items back let me know.

Rob
